March 8th -International Women's Day

§   “It is not only what we do, but also what we do not do, for which we are accountable.” – Moliere

Oxfam (Oxford Committee for Famine Relief) is an global organization working in approximately ninety countries worldwide to find long-term solutions to poverty and campaign for social change. Their goal is to fight hunger and injustice with a particular focus on empowering women worldwide. Every March 8th, Oxfam celebrates International Women's Day. This specific day highlights women who are acting locally and helping globally. Showing that actions do matter sends a powerful message about the role of women as a force for change.
