  2. Kindness, my daughter's elementary school does a wonderful job of reinforcing kindness, in a garden, in the classroom and out, during recess and in the lunchroom - It does start when we are little birds learning to fly! what a sweet birdie!

  3. Back at you, my friend, with my favorite Kurt Vonnegut quote: "Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you’ve got about a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies — ‘God damn it, you’ve got to be kind."

  5. So wonderfully true! There's another quote similar to this one -- I had it hanging on the wall of my classroom. "My religion is kindness." -- can't remember who said it, however.
