For my Mom
Well, this is it - the blanket I have been making for my Mom is completed. It is folded for now. I did not want to open it up and show all the loving imperfections (I am a beginner). It's a blanket to keep her lap warm, however, every stitch (and dropped stitch) is full of my love and devotion to her. She is one of the sweetest, kindest, generous, wisest and most lovable women on the planet. I know that is my opinion, but when people meet her, they walk away with a smile.
I don't wait for the second Sunday in May to tell her I love her. I tell her everyday. She is one special lady.

Kathleen, for a "beginner" that blanket is beautiful! I love the idea that every stich was made with love.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day!
What a wonderful daughter you are Kathleen. And what a precious gift- one that will warm Mom's heart as well as her lap. Those are the best gifts. My little Erin saw my new birdies and she's right in love with them. She asked..."Mimi, can I have one?"
ReplyDeleteI explained that they lived here but she could hold one each time she came over. She understood that and thought it was best that they all stay together, here with Mimi and Pop-Pop. Happy Mother's Day Kathleen.
