They're Coming...

The flowers that we are all patiently or impatienly waiting for will soon be with us. I guarantee it. Even on this rainy/slushy day, I believe, I believe.

Yesterday, Allen spotted some of the Marionette Daffodils and wanted to take this photo with the snow behind it. That snow, it seems will not give up. However, it is predicted to be around the 50 degree range this coming weekend. Yippee! I'm still waiting for the purple crocuses to come up. Right now they are peeking their stems up ever so shyly, afraid of another you know what.

What's doing in your neighborhood? I hope good things!

  1. We have such a mess to clean up, twisted, mangled, broken limbs from the last storm, how nice would it be to see a little glimpse of what's to come and leave what is behind. I do love snow and winter, but enough already!

  2. We're still under snow, but each day see a little more of our yard -- I think there's about 15 feet of dirt showing -- however none of this is in the gardens. I'm hoping that everything is enjoying being insulated! How's that for an optimist!?

  3. We've got piles and piles of snow still. I hope the flowers are staying strong under there.

  4. My husband called to me from the living room just the other day. When I got there, he was standing at our bay window, pointing out the tips of daffodils pressing their way through the earth. Yay!

  7. Oh Kathleen you are so lucky-aren't you excited? We have very little snow-but nothing is poking a little nose out yet. I did pick up some forced Hyacinth this weekend-so I will have some wonderful scent and 'purple flowers' soon.

  10. We still have a lot of snow on the ground. But hopefully with the sun out this weekend it will be melted soon. I love to see the first heads of spring popping up. xo
