  1. Really beautiful. I love that delicate, velvety petal. No gardening here today- it's pouring, but I do enjoy a day like this every once in a while.

  2. What a cheerful sight to brighten a rainy morning in Maine! I haven't seen Rosario irises before and they are wonderful!

  3. Debra- A rainy day once in a while is good for everything, including not having to water the gardens today.

Nan - My Father's name was Rosario, so when I saw the bulbs in a catalog, it was a sure thing.

  4. Hey your purple flowers, so sweet. They truly are beautiful!

I hope with the deep desire to have my butterfly garden grow it will. My little seedlings I planted look so pitiful with all of our rain. Fingers cross...

    Many hugs my friend. xoxo

  5. Joyce - I'm sure the seeds will germinate; it just takes time. Check on them periodically to make sure they didn't drown.
I planted a small pincushion plant that was labelled "butterfly bush". It's only about 6" or so. I am hoping the butterflies find it soon. I think we share a love for butterflies.

  7. They certainly are! They look great. Mine attracted bumble bees the size of blimps. :-)
