An Old Irish Blessing

MAY the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sunshine warm upon your face,
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

  2. I've always loved this; it's beautiful -- and I like the toast that ends with something like "and may you be dead an hour before the devil knows you're gone" or something like that. :)

  4. Kathleen,

This sentiment has always been a part of my life. My Irish luck prevailed when I discovered a framed vintage embroidered sampler with these words on a recent treasure hunt.
