A comment
(Knockout Rose from our garden)
I believe living with goodness in your heart, seeing beauty all around you, and living with truth everyday on your moral compass is what can bring you much joy.

Beautifully said~ I believe the truth does set you free- and staying positive is a life-line.
ReplyDeleteYou always help me stop and remember the important things.
You're absolutely right. I can't think of a thing to add, you've said it all!!
ReplyDeleteThe roses are gorgeous!
There's a verse that says, "You will know the truth and the truth will set you free." And to that I say, Amen.
ReplyDeleteI love how you put that - imagine if we could all live our lives like that everyday?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful roses!
Well said. You have to look for the beauty all around you and not forget that it's there waiting to be seen.
ReplyDeleteThere's a prayer that I say frequently that comes to mind:
ReplyDelete"Give me strength to live another day; Let me not turn coward before its difficulties or prove recreant to its duties; Let me not lose faith in other people; Keep me sweet and sound of heart, in spite of ingratitude, treachery, or meanness; Preserve me from minding little stings or giving them; Help me to keep my heart clean, and to live so honestly and fearlessly that no outward failure can dishearten me or take away the joy of conscious integrity;
Open wide the eyes of my soul that I may see good in all things;
Grant me this day some new vision of thy truth; Inspire me with the spirit of joy and gladness;
And make me the cup of strength to suffering souls; in the name of Our Lord. Amen
I love what you said Kathy, it's so true. There is one thing I would add and that is laughter. Good clean laughter. Goodness, beauty, truth & laughter bring joy to my days.
ReplyDeleteI love starting my day with these thoughts. Thanks Kathy & everyone!

ReplyDeleteone of my mantras ... "go gently, speak kindly"
ReplyDeleteand be truly grateful ... if you can be thankful even in the toughest moments, the blessings abound ...

It happened again :) I was looking at a doppelganger of that rose in England two days ago. Hmm. Not using that picture for my latest post now.
ReplyDeleteThe words are true and astute. For myself, I choose happiness and take joy the few times it comes and that suffices.
I couldn't agree with you more! I haven't a thing to add.
