There is no giving up.

Even though we are expected to get yet another snow storm early this week, I am standing firm, and setting my sights on Spring. My daffodils are starting to peep their tiny heads up through the soil, as are some of my early blooming tulips. So, I cannot give up...and I won't. Tonight before I fall asleep, I will continue to look through my "Fine Gardening" magazine (it's a great one) and tomorrow I plan to visit one of my favorite Garden Centers and walk through their greenhouses. They have a beautiful selection of orchids. I need to feel warmth and see bright colors. So if Mother Nature is not done with winter, I will find another way to see and feel Spring.
Below are flowers from last year's garden.

  2. Oh Kathleen, I love your attitude........."So if Mother Nature is not done with winter, I will find another way to see and feel spring." Nature will do what it wants to, so to try to fight it is a waste of time. Instead, I embrace it and all its seasons. I thought spring was here to stay, but I'm hearing that the rain is coming this week again. Your daffodils are so pretty, along with all the flowers in your garden. The girl statue is gorgeous.

Have a beautiful week, my friend, just as you are.

    love,

  3. Kathleen,
Before my twin sons were born, I kept a lovely picture of two babies that I found in a magazine by my bed. Each night I'd pray for healthy beautiful boys and never would I imagine they would grow to fine young men. Spring is like this too, gather your images from the past and soon God will deliver to each of us a present, wrapped in Spring blossoms! I hope you have a book of all your seasons to embrace each one. I am just as anxious as you for Spring to come! Soon!

I hope you enjoyed your trip to the garden centre, and that you had a good sniff in the refrigerator. Have a lovely day, with love, Linda.
