I admit it; I am a paper hound. I love me a good stationery store filled with unique paper products. The inventory must be highly creative, and envelopes me as I walk through the door. If I don't know where to look first, that is certainly not a problem. I can lose all track of time, and that's okay :o)
When I saw this paper cut out mask, well it made me just smile!
At first sight, it reminded me of a grown-up version of the paper masks we made as kids in school for Halloween. Lots of fun!
Halloween, just like a costume party can be fun and creative. Some people like the scary, whooo hoo costumes. It's all individualistic. I grew up with the Wizard of Oz theme sans the witch, and we made our own costumes. Which ever way you like it, I hope you have alot of fun! What are some of your ideas for costumes?

ReplyDeleteNo dress-up for us this year-too much going on. I too love a paper shop. I could spend hours and way too much money-but don't you love it?
ReplyDeleteStationery stores are a favorite of mine, too. I remember buying a gift of fine boxed stationery once and I loved it so much I had a hard time parting with it. I still remember that it was light pink/peach with an ornate cutwork design along the top. Don't even get me started on notecards, I find them irresistible.
ReplyDeleteI stay home and hand out candy on Halloween while my husband takes our daughter out trick or treating. She's going as a good witch.
One of my favorite things our kids have done is when Lauren made wil into a clown using things we had around the house. He was adorable. She painted his face, etc. That was a number of years ago, now.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, andrea
I love stationery stores, too -- and all kinds of paper products: tablets, cards, wrapping paper -- you name it!
ReplyDeleteI am smitten with paper also. For Halloween, I am always a queen :) - though I did just buy a witch hat at Target. We'll see how I'm feeling on Halloween, I guess.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, you won the giveaway!! Please email me your address at j.icing at yahoo dot com Thanks you!
ReplyDeleteThe last couple of years I have dressed as a pastry chef or baker (since I'm getting home from the shop as the kids are coming to the door) and grab a bowl filled with candy.
I love paper, containers, ribbons! The mask is cute. Would you believe I get shy to dress up?! LOL... I do love giving special treats for the kids that come to the door and afterwards going to our neighbor friends to have chili and a fire. Have a golden weekend. xoxo
ReplyDeletePS Congrats on winning!!!
Wanted to let you know to come by our blog on Sunday. We have a little bling for you! Love, your gal pals at lifelaughlatte.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteoh yes, the smell of a good paper store..... fab post as ever !
ReplyDeleteCongrats, had to stop by. I also cannot resist stationery or cards.....I have some I simply cannot part with, and two large plastic bins of cards for all occasions. I still love to send snail mail. American Stationery has wonderful notepaper and cards I order from, and customized mailing labels. I am my usual witchy self this Halloween, though this year I have a crystal black widow t-shirt and a new Witches hat to wear to a party on Friday and Saturday will be doling out the treats....
ReplyDeleteI must admit to liking wrapping paper but that's limited to the whole experience of present giving.
ReplyDeleteI am slowly becoming an admirer of stationary though, especially those gorgeous Japanese floral designs
I forgot to tell you I had to laugh when I saw that 'Picture of Dorian Gray' was on your movie list -- my maiden name is Gray, and my parents began dating and going steady when they were 15 and 16 -- steady, pinned, dropped, engaged, married, is how it goes - 55 years now - anyhoo, mom said one of their first dates was to see that movie, and she had already seen it twice before, and back then there was the newsreel, cartoon, filler, etc. before the movie, and she said she fell asleep during the picture. Obviously, dad didn't hold it against her!
